A tree trunk featuring an amazing diversity of lichen species, with a cover of yellow and grey foliose lichens and white to greenish-grey crustose lichens with a variety of structures and apothecia. The centrepiece of the image is a crumpled-looking green-grey foliose lichen with large square lobes.
